Atlanta is a city known for its culture. With everything from an extensive performing arts scene to bohemian shops in Little Five Points, Atlanta has something for everyone. Atlanta is also quickly becoming known for its culinary scene. Restaurateurs have mastered upscale and chic versions of old-fashioned Southern comfort food, and now healthier options are starting to make a huge impact on the city. Check out some of our favorite healthy restaurants in Atlanta.

World Peace Café Atlanta

World Peace Café is unlike any other restaurant in the Atlanta area. It is owned and operated by Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia, and all profits go to support meditation classes.  The menu is packed with delicious vegan and vegetarian options, and they also offer 100% organic specialty coffee.

 

Yeah! Burger

Not only was Yeah! Burger voted by Bon Appétit as one of its favorite burger spots in America, the restaurant uses only real food on its menu. The beef is all-natural and grass-fed, toppings are organic, eggs are cage-free, bacon is nitrate-free, and many of the sauces are gluten-free! They also have gluten-free bun options, making it easy to build a burger with all the right components for your diet.

 

Ria’s Bluebird

Ria’s Bluebird is an excellent and very popular Southern comfort food restaurant with something on the menu for everyone. While many of the dishes are made with meat and dairy, there are also several vegetarian options like the Country Fried Tempeh and the Bionic Breakfast with spicy tofu sauce. They also have vegetarian and vegan substitutions for many of their dishes.

 

Dulce Vegan

Dulce Vegan is a 100% vegan bakery and café. In addition to being vegan, many of their baked goods are allergy-friendly, gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free. Ingredients are all fresh, organic and locally sourced. Stop in for a guilt-free slice of hummingbird cake and a chai latte!

 

Café Sunflower

Café Sunflower is a recent winner of the Dining Out Awards from Vegetarian Times, and for good reason. Their dishes are artfully designed and packed with delicious flavor! We love the Eggplant Lasagna or the Roasted Acorn Squash for dinner, and make sure you start your meal with the incredible Vegan Artichoke and Spinach Dip!
